Best Review Management Software for Home Service Businesses (2026)

For a plumber, HVAC tech or roofer, Google reviews are often the deciding factor between you and the next company on the map. The problem isn't doing good work. It's remembering to ask for the review after a long day, and finding time to reply to every one. Review management software automates both, and most tools now use AI to write replies for you.

Below are the review and reputation tools in our directory, with published prices where vendors show them, and who each one fits best.

Last updated October 30, 2026. Prices were checked on each vendor's website on that date and can change; confirm before you buy.

What to look for

  • Automatic review requests. The best results come when a text goes out right after the job is marked complete. Check whether the tool connects to your field service software so this happens without anyone remembering to do it.
  • Text, not just email. Homeowners respond to texts faster. Every tool in this guide supports text requests in some form.
  • AI-written replies. Replying to reviews shows future customers you care. AI replies save time, but read the negative ones before they post.
  • Review widgets for your website. Showing recent five-star reviews on your site helps convert visitors who found you on Google.
  • Price per location. If you run more than one shop or service area, check whether pricing is per location.

Best for small shops: NiceJob

NiceJob is built for service businesses and connects with field service tools including Jobber, Housecall Pro and ServiceTitan. The Starter plan ($75/mo) covers SMS and email review requests, review widgets for your website, automatic social sharing, a staff leaderboard and a reviews microsite. The Pro plan ($125/mo) adds AI Replies that answer every review in your brand voice, plus repeat-customer reminders, referral campaigns, email marketing, NPS surveys and competitor tracking. There's no contract, and you can try it free for 14 days.

The staff leaderboard is a nice touch for shops with several techs: you can see who earns the most five-star reviews and recognize them.

Best for straightforward reputation management: GatherUp

GatherUp starts at $99 a month billed annually for one location, with multi-location pricing from $60 per location per month billed annually. The core plan includes feedback and review requests, AI-crafted replies, NPS surveys, review monitoring across 100+ sites, review widgets and up to 300 SMS and 3,000 email credits per location each month. Listings Management ($40 per location per month) and Review Defense (from $45 per location per month, billed annually), which flags and disputes reviews that appear to break platform policies, are sold separately. The 14-day trial needs no credit card. GatherUp isn't built only for the trades, but it's simple and agency-friendly.

Best all-in-one bundle: Broadly

Broadly is aimed at owner-operated local businesses and says home services are its largest customer segment. You can buy its Reputation AI on its own: Standard ($79 a month) manages Google and Facebook reviews, Pro ($89 a month) adds AI-written review responses, and Premium (call for pricing) requests and responds to reviews automatically. Or get the 24/7 AI Workforce Package for $799 a month. The package bundles an AI receptionist for calls, texts and web chat, automatic review requests and replies, AI social posts, a website and listings sync to 70+ directories, all set up for you. $799 is a lot for a small shop, but it can replace several separate tools. Broadly says there's no long-term contract.

Best for multi-location brands: Birdeye

Birdeye goes well beyond reviews, with AI agents for reviews, listings, chat, appointments and surveys. It's positioned for multi-location and franchise brands, so it may be more than a single-location shop needs. Pricing is quote-based.

Best if you want texting and webchat too: Podium

Podium combines business texting, website chat and review requests in one inbox, with an AI Employee that qualifies leads, books jobs and re-engages past customers. Podium says AI lead conversion comes with every plan; pricing is quote-based, so you talk to sales. Podium sits in our Website Chat & Lead Capture category, but many home service shops use it mainly for reviews.

A note on review rules

Automate requests, not results. Google's Maps content policy prohibits offering incentives such as discounts or free service for reviews, discouraging negative reviews, and selectively asking only happy customers (often called review gating). The safest setup sends the same request to every customer after every job. Check each platform's current policy before you turn on automated requests.

Set it up in one week

  1. Day 1: Start a free trial (NiceJob or GatherUp both offer 14 days) and connect it to your field service software or upload last month's customer list.
  2. Day 2: Write a short, friendly request text in your own words, and put your Google review link first. Most customers will review on Google if it's the first link they see.
  3. Day 3: Turn on automatic requests when a job is marked complete. Send one reminder, not five.
  4. Days 4 to 7: Reply to every new review. Let AI write the first version of each reply, but edit anything negative yourself and offer to make it right offline.

At the end of the trial, compare how many new reviews came in with the month before. That number tells you whether the tool earns its monthly fee.

How to choose

  • One location, already on Jobber, Housecall Pro or ServiceTitan: start with NiceJob's 14-day trial.
  • Want the simplest reputation tool with public pricing: GatherUp.
  • Want someone to set up reviews, phone answering and marketing for you: Broadly's bundle.
  • Several locations or a franchise: get quotes from Birdeye and Podium.

Reviews work best alongside fast lead response. If you're missing calls, see our guide to the best AI receptionists for HVAC companies (most of those tools also serve plumbers and electricians) and browse all Reviews & Reputation tools.
